William Thomas Jefferson Cooper was born in 1857 in Macoupin County, Illinois.
Alice Ann Sellers was born on 26 February 1860 in Morgan County, Indiana. Alice was the daughter
of Robert Y. Sellers (1832-1913)
and Amy M. Hadley (1836-1883).
She was also one of three sisters to Charles E. Sellers (1861-1906).
William and Alice were married on 22 July 1880 at her father's home in Friends Creek, Macon County, Illinois.

"At the residence of the bride's father, July 22, 1880, by the Rev. W Crandall, Mr. William Cooper and Miss Alice A Sellers all of Friends Creek. Mrs. Simon Hoff of Kansas and many other friends and relatives were present. After the ceremony a sumptuous supper was served to which all did ample justice. The young couple have the best wishes of all their friends." |
