Various Views of Simon Hadley's House

Simon and Ruth Hadley's house is located on Limestone Road (Route 7) in Hockessin, Delaware. The original house and barn was built by Simon in 1717. The stone bearing Simon and Ruth's initials now reads "SRH-1717 - HHD-1888." The later initials are for Harlan and Hattie Denison, who later owned and enlarged the house. Simon Hadley is said to have been murdered in his barn by a servant. He was supposedly killed for the large amount of gold he was rumored to have always carried on his person. All of these photos were taken between 1995 and 2000.
