Closeup of Jesse Hadley's Tombstone
Glen Cove Cemetery Jesse HADLEY, son of Benjamin Hadley (1761-1830)and Elizabeth Kenderson (1785-1825), died November 10, 1899. He is buried in Glen Cove Cemetery, Coleman County, Texas. The town of Glen Cove is on Hords Creek and Farm Road 53 in west central Coleman County, Texas, west of the town of Coleman. The road to the cemetery is on the eastside of the town of Glen Cove - turn south at the green and white Glen Cove Cemetery sign. Drive down that road and look to your right for a white house and the large metal sign, "Glen Cove Cemetery," above the entrance to a dirt road. Drive down the dirt road to the metal gate. As you enter the gate, most of the cemetery is to your left. Jesse is buried near the far-left fence, beyond the cement slab and metal awning shelter, about ten feet from a large planting of iris. The white marble column is about three to four feet tall, with each side about eight to ten inches wide.
