John William Hadley was the youngest child of Simon Hadley (1816/18 - ca. 1904) and
Caroline Stewart (1836 - ca. 1903).
John was killed in a shoot-out with the McGills in Alabama in 1894. His brother Simon Dude Hadley, was injured in the same incident. John's grave is located in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, in Lottie Alabama.
